Connect your first dealership
A practical route from API access to a WordPress vehicle catalogue.
1. Check your inventory source
Confirm that your AutoScout24 account has permission to access the vehicle data you want to display. The applicable API and onboarding process depend on the market and your agreement with AutoScout24.
Before selecting a paid subscription, send the developer your market, dealer account type and WordPress website URL. Do not send API secrets through the public enquiry.
2. Review your WordPress setup
Use a staging copy of your dealership website for the first connection. Identify the theme, page builder and any existing vehicle catalogue plugins so their compatibility and field mappings can be checked.
3. Install and configure the plugin
After your website and account have been reviewed, obtain the plugin package and activation instructions from the developer. Install the supplied ZIP through WordPress’s plugin upload screen. Configure your authorised connection using the instructions supplied with that release.
4. Review a first import
Import a small set of vehicles first. Compare external identifiers, prices, vehicle attributes, images and listing availability against the source. Confirm that subsequent imports update the same records.
5. Publish the catalogue
Use the listing shortcode supplied with your plugin version to place the catalogue on a WordPress page. Configure the filters and styling for your theme, then enable the agreed update schedule.
Import timing depends on the configured schedule, your WordPress hosting and AutoScout24 API limits. This is scheduled synchronisation, not a promise of instantaneous updates.
